8/18-8/26/2023 Rick Woodson, Jean Bottoms, Louise Cape, Jeannie Felts, Hope Campbell, and Dory Erickson Exhibit
Rick Woodson, Jean Bottoms, Louise Cape, Jeannie Felts, Hope Campbell, and Dory Erickson, participants and experienced artisans of the King Senior Center, will exhibit woodwork, fiber arts, paintings, pottery, and jewelry in a pop up exhibit in the Apple Gallery during the first week of this exhibition. Their art will be on display from Friday, August 18-Sunday, August 26. The King Senior Center is a NC Center of Excellence and provides programs and services that support adults age 55+ in improving their health and wellness through exercise and dance classes, educational programs, games, social events, advocacy, and referrals which can help them live longer and more independently. King Senior Center is also partnering with the Walnut Cove Senior Center to bring classes and activities to six remote sites across Stokes County. King Senior Center is located at 107 White Rd in the lower level of King Recreation Acres Community Building.
A meet and greet is scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2:30pm-4:00pm at The Arts Place of Stokes 500 Main Street Danbury, NC. The pop up exhibit will be on display through August 26, 2023. The Stokes County Arts Council is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm, Saturday, 10:00a.m.-6:00p.m. and Sunday 12:00pm-6:00pm.
