Performing under the name Reel-Rhodes, Rebecca Reel and Ben Rhodes share Americana standards and soon-to-be-standards with a few accessible originals thrown in. Glove- in -hand harmonies with fresh arrangements accentuate classics by Elton John, Alison Kraus, CCR, and the like. They strive to make a connection with the audience providing an enjoyable and memorable event. Rebecca and Ben are lifelong friends that met when they were both middle school band directors. Years rolled by and new chapters were written. Rebecca channeled her love of music into singing, songwriting, and guitar playing. Ben rechanneled his love of music into creating an entirely new way to play bass and sing. Both are seasoned performers in other capacities. Ben is the drummer for the Special Occasion Band and performed jazz vibraphone extensively. Rebecca is an avid songwriter who has performed as a solo act and with various collaborators and bands.
