This bucket hat is a wonderful summer accessory! The fabric is flexible and easy to pack in a bag or a suitcase, yet the brim is sturdy enough to turn up for a different look. We’ll crochet this hat from a Virginia grown and kettle-dyed 100% cotton. A selection of colors will be available. This class is for advanced beginners who are able to complete basic stitches with uniform tension. It can serve as a refresher course for those with previous experience. We’ll start with the magic ring as we make the top of the hat. Next we will make the sides and the brim. There are 4 1/2 hours of instruction and a class size of only eight students, ensuring lots of side-by-side instruction. Students will complete the class with confidence to make more hats and to do basic shaping. All materials are included: 1 skein of cotton yarn (makes 1 hat plus leftovers), crochet hook, yarn needle, stitch markers.
