Parking and Traffic Plan for 46th Stokes Stomp
Annual Festival to Offer Shuttle Service
Parking and Traffic for the Stokes Arts 45th Stokes Stomp Festival on the Dan, scheduled for September 11 at Moratock Park in Danbury, will feature shuttle service from the Stokes County Government Center (1014 Main St) near the intersection of Sheppard Mill Road. Digital Road Signs will direct Stomp visitors to these parking areas. Once parked, visitors will wait to load the shuttle at a designated location and then be transported to the Stomp at Moratock Park. Four shuttle vehicles will run every 15/20 minutes.
To relieve traffic congestion on Sheppard Mill Road, parking at Moratock Park will be limited to handicapped, Stokes Stomp entertainers, vendors, volunteers, and emergency personnel. Drivers without a Moratock Parking Pass will have the option of circling through the park to drop off, but will not be allowed to park unless a valid parking pass is visible. Traffic personnel will be at parking lots and intersections to assist with parking concerns and directions.
The 46th Stokes Stomp Traffic and Parking plan is a coordinated effort by the Danbury Fire Department, Stokes County Sheriff’s Department, Stokes EMS, Stokes Fire Marshal, Stokes Economic Development and Stokes Arts.
A Big Shout Out to – Stokes Stomp Entertainment Committee, Tory Mabe Stomp Chair and Nancy Markle past chair, as well as the rest of our fabulous board members. We couldn’t do the Stomp without your help.
