Reach The Peaks Plein Air at Hanging Rock

Those considering a visit to Hanging Rock State Park to view the beautiful fall colors this season will also be able to experience another beautiful display of color, as the Reach the Peaks Plein Air Exhibit is currently on display at the park Visitors Center, 1790 Hanging Rock Park Road in Danbury.

An artist meet and greet will be held this Sunday, October 15 at the Visitors Center from 2-4pm. Come meet the artists and see this exciting exhibit honoring the beauty of Stokes County’s landscapes.

The exhibit features twenty-three original works of art from members of the Triad Outdoor Painters Association. Subjects of the paintings include park landmarks such as Moore’s Knob, Cook’s Wall, the Boathouse, and Lower Cascades, as well as other memorable Stokes County landmarks and landscapes. The exhibit will run through the month of October. Artists participating in the exhibit include Craig Richards, Debbie Schiappa, Denis Byrd, Viktoria Majestic, Anne Kiefaber, Denise Nelson, and Jesse Moore.
