Our August exhibit on display, “Out in the Summer Air” by artist Sarah Booze, brings “the tranquil beauty of nature during the summer” into the Apple Gallery. Sarah is a native of Stokes County and a graduate of Appalachian State University where she majored in Global Studies.

A lifelong creative and self-taught painter, she returned to acrylic painting her senior year of college for stress relief and has not looked back. Her art has flourished as she experiements with new techniques and continues to grow as an artist. In addition to her art, Sarah works in museums and enjoys travelling around the globe. She draws inspiration for her art from these life experiences as well.

Sarah’s first art award was won at the Stokes County Fair when she was only eight years old. Recently, Sarah’s work has won awards at the 44th Annual Jeb Stuart Art Show, the Carolina Classic Fair, and has been featured in the 2020 Yadkin Juried Art Exhibit.

Visit the Apple Gallery (500 N. Main St. Danbury, NC) to view Sarah’s work and enjoy this beautiful collection of pieces before it’s gone! For more information and photos of her art, visit Sarah’s instagram @sarahkatherine.art
