Stokes Arts is excited to present the first Apple Gallery exhibit of 2021, “Nature’s Beauty,” by Ilse Watkins. Ilse Watkins grew up on the North Sea coast of Germany, where her mother had a photography studio and gift shop. Ilse followed in her mother’s footsteps and graduated with a photography degree in 1984.
While working at a newspaper for the US Army, she met her husband and moved to the States. Ilse worked on Apple computers until the birth of her son Spencer in 2000 when she became a stay-at-home mom. Spencer is now in college and Ilse spends her time sewing, knitting, quilting, and never leaves the house without a camera.
Ilse lives in Clemmons, NC, and enjoys nature and all the critters around her. Her main focus is on living green, so 50% of her proceeds go to 4ocean.com to support their ocean clean-up efforts.
Don’t miss these beautiful pieces in the Apple Gallery!
