Impressionist Painting Student Exhibit

Stokes Arts to host Impressionist Painting Students during the month of January

An opening reception will be held in honor of the students who have participated in the Impressionist Painting Series with well-known artist Craig Richards.  The reception will be held  on Friday, January 15, 2016, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Apple Gallery at the Stokes County Arts Council, 500 N. Main Street, Danbury.  The exhibit features artwork of over twenty new artists and includes Gayle Allison, Janice Ayers, Cathy Brown, Kitty Ray Brown, Gregory Burazer, John Cavello, Deborah Fredette, Robert Gibson, Randi Honeycutt, Phil Kinken, Bobby Knouse, Irene Lobb, Tamara Mitchell, Jesse Moore, Susan Park, Sue Rose, Joel Surratt, Joy Thornburg, Ray Travis and Rose Ann Wade.  Artist/Instructor Craig Richards will also include some of his works of art for display.   The public is invited to attend the opening reception, enjoy light refreshments and meet the artists.  The viewing of this exhibit is free to the public.  The Apple Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The Arts Council is closed on holidays and Saturday and Sunday.  For more information about this exhibit or our holiday schedule, please call the Stokes County Arts Council at (336) 593-8159.
