High School Art Show 2017

Stokes County High School visual art students featured in the Apple Gallery in April

An opening reception will be held in honor of our Stokes County High School visual art students and their teachers on Friday, March 31, 2017, 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Apple Gallery, 500 N. Main Street, Danbury, North Carolina.  The exhibit will be on display March 22nd through April 25th.  The West Stokes High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Ms. Lorena Schakel, will provide a selection of songs during the opening reception, as well as Mr. Jacob Shumate, who will give a solo performance on the alto saxophone. 

The 2017 Stokes County Arts Council scholarship recipients will be announced at the opening reception which includes the Ben T. Vernon, Jr. Community Service Scholarship award(s). 

The Stokes County Arts Council would like to invite the public to meet the artists, teachers and scholarship recipients at the opening reception.  The viewing of this exhibit and reception is free and open to the public.  The Apple Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  For additional information contact Stokes Arts at (336) 593-8159.
